Nolan Nutrition is a Nutritional Therapy clinic established in 2016 by Registered Nutritional Therapist, Clarissa Nolan.
Clarissa has always used food to help her family get better from illness and to maintain well-being. Nutritional Therapy is her way of bringing together her love of food and cooking, her wish to help others regain their health, her belief that we should all take responsibility for our own health, and most of all, celebrating the fact that food is not a mere commodity, but little packages of life-enhancing treats to delight in!
After qualifying as a Registered General Nurse in 1990, Clarissa worked in a variety of settings - medical, cancer, community, and for the last twenty years as a nurse, in cancer research. She has always been passionate about helping her patients and their families have the best quality of life. In 2020, she stopped practising as a nurse, but continues to divide her time between collecting data for cancer research at the University of York and her Nutritional Therapy practice.
In the nutritional therapy clinic, Clarissa works with clients of all ages, with different health concerns, ranging from skin issues, cancer and chronic fatigue to menopausal symptoms, migraine, arthritis and digestive disorders. She has a particular interest in nutrigenomics and working towards better quality of life in clients with gut issues, cancer, chronic fatigue and cognitive impairment. She feels very privileged to accompany all of her clients on their journey to an enhanced quality of life.
